One of the topics for Etsy blog carnival this month is 'what's your favorite food' and I'd have to say pasta is mine, Italian pasta. We grew up on this pasta my grandmother used to make, then my mom and aunts and now my sister and I make it. It's really the sauce that makes the pasta so it can be any kind of pasta, but it's the sauce that makes it special. There's nothing like homemade raviolis, eggplant, mostacolli, lasagna, but without that sauce to go along with them they're nothing. Nothing like good old Italian food -- thanks grandma! When I get a minute I'll post that recipe at a later date, it's delicious.
But lately I've been getting into the healthy kick while trying to lose some weight so I've been sticking with the fresh fruits and vegetables. I do love ice cream and it seems like when I start eating it I can never have enough so I have given that up for now and replaced with this simple dish -- strawberries, bananas with a dab of whip cream on top. It's a lot less calories and much better for you. At times I will add other fruits like blueberries and pears -- it has definitely been working to keep me away from the ice cream.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel - Blenheim Bead
This is the new bead I recently put in my shop. Hope you like the little guy! It's a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel bead hand-sculpted from polymer clay in red and white.
The bead is pierced vertically from top of head to bottom.
Approximate size of the bead is:
1-1/4" side to side - ear to ear
5/8" top to bottom - top of head to bottom base of bead
3/4" front to back - nose to back of head

Huntin Critters
Here I am hunting those pesky critters that go into the holes in the ground. I always try to catch them, but never seem to be quick enough. Maybe on the next vacation I'll be able to git one of those darn things.

Boston Terrier In The Dog House
I recently put this little Boston Terrier back in my shop. The top is entirely made from polymer clay and I've got to tell you constructing that little house was a real pain, but in the end it worked. The 'flowers' are also made of polymer clay and sit on top of colored wire.
Everything is tacked down to the base except for the dog, she can be removed and placed elsewhere.

Etsy Featured Blogger-Memories of Life Scrapbooks
It's that time again for the Etsy Featured Blogger of the month and this month the honor goes to Memories for Life Scrapbooks. Check out these wonderful word albums that she creates, they are adorable and they look very time consuming to me! What a wonderful way to keep some vacation memories! If you'd like to see more go to her shop or if you'd like to see what she's up to lately check out her blog.

My Dog -- Who Are You?
I know you've all met this first Lena, but I don't think you've met the second one below. That Lena is a.k.a Cujo. I know it's hard to believe this sweet and innocent face can give off such a vicious look, but she does. I call it the only child syndrome.

The only time she reacts this way is when I'm involved in conversation with somebody or not paying attention to her, she'll either bark continuously or go pick up a stick (which I normally try to keep away from her because I know what happens when she starts to possess on a stick, but as I said when I'm in conversation I'm not paying attention to her -- god forbid). So anyway she'll find a stick, lay down and you can't go near her. If you try she starts to give you the lip, which to me means stay the hell away from me and my stick. The only way I can snap her out of it is to just simply walk away and let her forget about it. I've tried just about everything else and nothing seems to work. Does your dog have possession issues? Does your dog get jealous when you're not paying attention to them? And if so how do you handle these issues?
