Punk Kid Beads - Mohawk Blue

Mohawk Blue Punk Kid Head Beads

So every once in a while I like to make other critter and kitschy beads. I love to create dogs, but this is my second love making these little punk kid beads and critter beads. I call this punk kid Mohawk Blue, well because of his blue Mohawk of course. I have made a full sized bead and two smaller head beads to match.

Ceramic Art

Cat with Bird Plate, natalyasots

Incredible is the only way to describe these ceramic art pieces by natalyasots. They are a joy to your eyes, each piece a work of art. Her teapots and cups are also functional so not only do you get a great piece of art, it's a piece you can use as well. It's one of those shops where you fall in love with every piece. Enjoy.

Dog Collars and Matching Cuffs

Dog Collar and Owner Cuff Set - Cut Flowers on Red Leather

I love the shop greenbelts, dog collars to match cuffs -- what a great concept, I mean who wouldn't want a great looking dog collar and a matching cuff for one's self? And even if you don't have a dog, there are loads of great cuffs for wrists and ankles that you can purchase alone -- did I mention I love this shop!

Merry Christmas from Santa

Here's Santa at the beginning of the day, bright eyed and bushy tailed ready to hop on that sleigh and deliver all the treats to all those good pups out there and ........

... here's Santa at the end of the day, tired from delivering all those Scooby snacks -- it's been a long night driving through the snow trying to make it to every pup in the world. Merry Christmas from my Santa to all of your furry friends.

Devilman who?

I know you're probably all sick of this by now, but this is the last one -- trust me I'm tired of it too. This is the last handmade gift I'm making for my nephews, thankfully he's the last one I have. He wanted this Devilman whoever that is. He gave me the picture (which you can kind of see in the background in the photo below) and I just worked from there. The piece is sculpted from polymer clay and painted, the best part is his eyes, they're made with glow in the dark clay). I know it's some character out of a comic book that he just loves and I know he spent lots of time and money hunting these comics down. So here he is Devilman. And I have to tell you it was a real pain especially that guy popping out of his head, he was way small! Why, oh why couldn't my sister have one girl, just one?

Anybody ever heard of this dude Devilman?

Christmas Ornaments

I just love Christmas ornaments and I love to decorate my tree with all different ornaments. I love the handmade ones the most! I especially love the ones that I've got from the kids when they were young, all of their handmade ornaments are so fun to go back and look at year after year. How do you like to decorate your tree? I love a Victorian style tree, with various ornaments, lots of frilly stuff, with a main color running throughout. Do you like handmade ornaments, do you like to have your ornaments match or have a theme or color theme?

World of Warcraft Request

Okay, so I think I mentioned I was making my nephews their Christmas presents this year instead of buying them something. My youngest nephew wanted this sword that he says has something to do with World of Warcraft, which I know absolutely nothing about other than the fact that every time I visit my sister's house he's always on the computer playing it. Anyhow, it's another piece that I'm not used to doing, don't these boys know I like cute? I guess cute is just not something teenage boys are interested in, no sugar and spice here.

But I do have one question I was thinking about putting a varnish on it, but kinda like it without and I'm afraid once I put it on there's no going back. Only problem is if it's not varnished it will be much harder to keep clean s0 that's my quesion varnish or no varnish?

Holiday Gift for Dad

Here is a request I had to do for a polar bear, which was my very first polar bear sculpture. A fellow Etsy and EFA member mvegan5 requested a Polar Bear for her dad to give as a gift this holiday season. Michele who is a wonderful advocate for animals and one of those true blessings to all our furry friends had adopted a polar bear through Defenders of Wildlife and thought it would be a great gift for her dad to put on his desk. Thank you Michele for the request, it was fun to do this polar bear and I hope your dad loves it!

My latest creation... Benny the Boston Terrier

Okay, so Benny was just out in the garden, playing amongst the flowers when this little bumblebee decided to hop on his nose. Well, needless to say Benny is baffled, befuddled and bewildered as to what to do next -- should he remain still or bat that little booger.

The Boston Terrier and the bumblebee are hand-sculpted from polymer clay. The tiny bumblebee has little glow in the dark wings to help Benny find his way at night.

Approximate size is:
2-1/4" tall nose to base
1" wide (front to back)
1" wide (side to side)

How do you feel about Feedback?

Little Ms. Applelina wants to know how do you feel about feedback? As a seller and as a buyer? I know for me I love to get feedback, but I've learned after selling for a while, to not take it so seriously. I mean I still love to get it, but I've come to realize that not everybody feels it's that important. I do have a bad habit as a seller though I must admit, I'm always looking to see if people left me feedback, but I often forget to leave feedback for the buyer. I try to do it as soon as the person has paid for the item and I've shipped it out, but I sometimes just plain forget.

So my question is how do you feel about feedback? Is it important to you? When do you leave feedback yourself as a seller, when item is shipped? And as a buyer do you always leave feedback? Even if you're not really pleased with the item are you truthful about the fact that you're not pleased or do you choose to not leave any feedback? Inquiring minds want to know.

Way Cool Buttons

Green Glass Art Nouveau Button

Are these buttons out of this world or what? They come to you from OldeTymeNotions. I mean they are absolutely gorgeous and can be used in oh so many ways, on a sweater, sewn to a hat, a scarf, added as a jewelry centerpiece -- they are something else don't you agree? What would you do creatively with these buttons?

Handmade Gifts

So I decided to make something for my nephews this Christmas and my one nephew just loved the last Batman movie and the Joker. He's got Joker hats, Joker T's, Joker this and that so I decided to make him a key chain. Now this is so far from my realm of creativity, although I love the darker side I always seem to create cutesy things and it was kind of fun exploring that side. I think it came out pretty cool -- what do you think?

I am trying to make something for each of my nephews so there may be more to follow - depending on whether I can do it or not -- my other nephew gave me some real challenging ideas.
