Save A Dog

If you are crazy about dogs and want to support animal rescue efforts by helping to keep real dogs out of shelters and in good homes, now you can. Dogtime.com is now on Facebook and has a great new application Save A Dog.

It’s easy! For every 2,500 points you earn, Save A Dog donates the financial equivalent of a cup of food to RescueGroups.org, a non-profit organization that provides free and low-cost technology services to animal shelters and rescue groups across the country. The more points you earn, the more dogs you help save!

Just browse through the photos of real-life adoptable dogs, and choose one to virtually “foster.”

The best part about it is it's free, it costs absolutely nothing to join, you just go to the site each day to acquire points, the more points, the more you help! You earn 25 points a day just for logging in so why not stop on by to help a dog in need.

What a great application! I'm not on Facebook unfortunately but I hope this is a huge success!

I've been doing this for a couple of months and it is fun to find dogs to foster. You can actually have TWO dogs to foster. Click in daily, walk each dog and foster a new dog every few days for extra points. Remember, those points equate to food for shelter dogs!

This is a wonderful program. My virtual foster dog Brandy just got adopted. It great to be able to help with just a few clicks each day.
