He's back in my shop again the one and only Pugsy the Pug King of Rock and Roll.

Meet Pugsy, the King of Rock and Roll. As you can see this little Pug loves rock and roll and Elvis is his all time fav! He tries to emulate him as much as he can with his beautiful studded cape.

Pugsy is hand-sculpted from polymer clay. He wears a cape embellished with vintage rhinestones, charms, Swarovski crystals and micro beads and wears a fancy ring on his paw.

Pugsy the King is approximately:
2" tall
1-1/2" wide front to back of hat
1-3/4" wide side to side

Spud the Golden Retriever with his Football

Spud, my sister's Golden Retriever, loves this football. He's always carrying it around with him and as you can see he has ripped it almost to shreds. It's his Chicago Bears football, he's a big fan, he loves to cheer when the Bears are doing good, it's too funny if we all start to cheer, he starts jumping around whining -- he loves to watch the game except this year he has been a bit disappointed in the team!!

What are your Favorite Color Combinations?

I love color and certain color combinations always draw my attention. I do love earth tones and the Southwest colors really draw me, the brown, silver, turqouise, for some reason my eye is always drawn to that. I also love black and white, these two color combos always seem to attract me. It could be that I'm looking at a page of items and my eye always move towards either the southwest colors or black and white -- don't know why this is, but it is. So what are your favorite colors and which do you like to work with?

Dogs Decorate a Christmas Tree

Bookworm Polymer Clay Desktop Buddy

This little bookworm desktop buddy is handmade from polymer clay. It's an apple with an adorable bookworm sitting on top reading his most favorite book. The book is leaned up against the stem of the apple and is marked to his favorite chapter with a bookmark. There is a red heart stamped on the bookworm and a green heart stamp on the apple.

This little fellow can keep any student, teacher or book lover company while they're reading their very own favorite book!

Approximate size is:
2" tall x 1-1/4" wide at widest point.

Baby GaGa and her French Bulldog

Baby GaGa loves only one thing more than she likes music and that's her little French Bulldog. Baby Gaga and her Frenchie are both hand-sculpted from polymer clay and highlighted with acrylic paints.

They are two separate pieces, one is Baby herself with her spiked collar and skull and crossbones top hat. She has pink hair on one side and longer green hair on the other side with a red barrette. She has pretty blue glass eyes and pink eyelids with the longest lashes. The little Frenchie has on a matching spike collar and has pretty brown glass eyes and wears a chain leash that Baby can hold or not.

Size is approximate:
Baby Gaga sits approximately 2" tall x 1-1/2" wide.
French Bulldog sits approximately 1" tall x 3/4" wide.

Shih Tzu Polymer Clay Dog Snow Globe Christmas Ornament

The Shih Tzu is hand-sculpted from polymer clay then painted with acrylic paints and has a Swarovski crystal in her top knot. She is encased in her very own snow globe. She is surrounded by a green fern with small Christmas tree lights, red metallic mesh and a large snowflake. The waterless globe is sprinkled with 'snow' and glitter. The globe is topped with a crystal charm along with a red bow. The ornament hangs from green ribbon.

All the Santa Dogs

Here are all the dogs with the Santa hat on; my Lena and my sister's dogs, Edie, Spud and Peyton. The two old girls Lena and Edie were the best when it came to keeping the hat on. They both posed very nicely, but those two younguns were hard especially Spud, as you can see he's on the sofa laying down, that was the only way I could get a picture of him. I had to hold his paws so he wouldn't try to rip it off. I put the photos in order of their age with the two old gals first. The last photo is Edie's final photo for the day!

White Chihuahua Polymer Clay Dog Snow Globe Christmas Ornament

This sweet little white Chihuahua is hand-sculpted from polymer clay. She is encased in her very own snow globe. She sits on a block of 'ice' and is surrounded by a snowflake and a small tree. Behind her sits part of a lovely peacock feather and blue mesh. The waterless globe is sprinkled with blue glass shards. The globe is topped with a glitter star and a blue and silver bow. The ornament hangs from blue ribbon.

Mr. Bookworm Polymer Clay Christmas Ornament

You've met Mrs. Bookworm so now I'm here to introduce Mr. Bookworm, he is a little bookworm who loves nothing more than to read his books. He always has his nose in one book or another.

Mr. B is sculpted in a Christmas green color, he has a mustache, a hand crocheted hat with a red bow and holds his red book opened up to his favorite chapter -- he's even got a red bookmark and a sprig of holly to mark his page so he can always open it up and go right to his favorite spot. The ornament hangs from black satin cord.

The entire bookworm ornament is hand-sculpted from polymer clay except the hat.
The approximate size of the ornament is:
2" top to bottom (hangs approximately 4" with cord)
1-1/2" side to side

French Bulldog Polymer Clay Dog Snow Globe Christmas Ornament

This sweet little Frenchie can't wait for Christmas! The French Bulldog is hand-sculpted from polymer clay and highlighted with acrylic paint. She is encased in her very own snow globe. She has a fiber collar on with a handmade polymer clay floral bead. She is surrounded by pink feathers and beautiful French lace ribbon. The waterless globe is sprinkled with 'snow'. The globe is topped with another handmade polymer clay floral bead along with a pink organza bow. The ornament hangs from pink satin cord. Approximate size of acrylic ball is 6" around.

Harlequin Great Dane Polymer Clay Dog Christmas Bell Ornament

This sweet Harlequin Great Dane ornament is made with one of my handmade beads made just a bit larger and topped with a hand crocheted hat. She is attached to a silver tone bell that hangs at the bottom. The top of the bell has a green ribbon bow and her crocheted hat has a pom pom on the back. The hate is also adorned with a red bow. The ornament hangs from black satin cord.

The ornament hangs approximately 4" long from top of ribbon to bottom of bell, the bell is about 1-1/2" wide.

West Highland White Terrier (Westie) Polymer Clay Dog Christmas Ornament

The entire face of the ornament is hand created from polymer clay. The background is a Christmas green and laying on top is a hand-sculpted West Highland White Terrier. She has a sprig of holly at her ear and a red collar with large vintage crystal at the center. The base is a silver tone cameo setting. The ornament hangs from red satin cord.

Approximate size of the ornament is: 2-1/4" long (with satin cord 4-1/4" long) x 1-1/2" wide.

Bad Santa, A Favorite Holiday Movie

So we were posed the question what is a favorite movie that you watch around the holiday season. Well, we never really watch that many Christmas classics, but we did watch Bad Santa the year it came out and have been watching it ever since. Even though it may not be for everybody we thought it quite funny, actually kind of hysterical. So now we try and watch it at Christmas each year, but occasionally we'll watch it throughout the year if it comes on TV. I really like Billy Bob Thornton in this movie and two stars that are no longer with us Bernie Mac and John Ritter are a riot! Good movie, but may not be for everyone.

Does your pet have days like these?

Does your pet ever get the flu or a 24 hour bug? Yesterday it seemed as though Lena was a bit under the weather or depressed, but she certainly wasn't herself. She didn't want to go out, although when she did she did go potty, but on the walk she walked about 10 steps behind me as if she just didn't want to go. She was dragging around the house all day yesterday, not sleeping in her usual spot. She ate and drank fine, although her nose was dry, but she just didn't seem herself. Now today thankfully she's back to normal. So the question is do your pets have days like this where they seem either sick or depressed?

Tommy the Turtle Polymer Clay Christmas Ornament

I decided to put some ornaments in my ecrater store this year and one of those ornaments is Tommy the Turtle, a very loving turtle who loves to give roses. He is hand-sculpted from polymer clay and has a red shell with a sprig of holly at the center. He wears a black mustache and has a hand crocheted hat on with a red bow. Clutched in his hands is a red metal rose charm. The ornament hangs from black satin cord.

The entire ornament is hand-sculpted from polymer clay except for the hat which is crocheted.

Size is approximate:
1" wide side to side
2" top to bottom (hangs approx. 4" with satin cord)

Beagle Snow Queen

Fellow Etsian Ms.Anomaly has made another great Christmas ornament from one of my beads. It is always so fun to see how creative fellow artisans get with my beads and Ms. Anomaly never fails to disappoint. Here is her Beagle Snow Queen Christmas Ornament and is she not the cutest snow queen you've ever seen? From the looks of it, it has sold out, how wonderful is that! Happy Holidays to Ms. Anomaly and all the beautiful Beagles in the world!

A Gift for My Sis

So tomorrow is my sister's birthday and she's had a rough year so I thought I'd so something really special for her. I made her a charm bracelet that features all of her six children, three of the human kind and three furry ones. I made three dog beads for each of her dogs and since I'm not very good at making humans out of polymer clay I only did one bead of her son in polymer clay because he's easily identifiable, for the other sons I did something different -- and I figure it is a charm bracelet so the more varying types of charms the better. Here's the bracelet with a short explanation:

Close up, I'll explain the main charms I made. The first charm from the left depicts her son, he was easy to do in polymer clay because he always has his hair pushed forward and in his eyes -- this must be something new, I'm not sure if it's only around our neighborhood or not, but it seems to be the hairstyle for the boys. The second one I made is her dog Edie, she's her oldest dog, a wonderful Golden Retriever. The third is a heart with her son's name on it, Mike. The fourth is her other dog, Payton named after Walter Payton (actually her son brought this dog home) which was a surprise to her, but she fell in love and kept him (kids). He is a Sheltie/Akita mix or at least that's what they told him he was :)

The next charm is a small photo frame with her son's picture. The next one is a G, which is her first initial and the last one I made was of her other Golden Retriever, Spud, the wonder dog! I added a couple of other clay hearts and various things. I hope she loves it. And BTW she never reads my blog, I don't even think she'd know how to find it if she wanted to, so I don't have to worry about ruining the surprise. Have a nice weekend everyone.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas and I'm getting in the mood with my Christmas ornaments. I just love to make these little guys, they get me in the spirit so expect to see lots more until Christmas!

This ornament is a sweet little Brussels Griffon and she is holding her very own ornament to put on the Christmas tree. She can't wait until the tree goes up so she can place her ornament in a very special spot -- right on one of the front branches.

Yorkshire Terrier - Yorkie Polymer Clay Dog Snow Globe Ornament

Here's the start of my Christmas ornaments. I have hand-sculpted my little dogs and encased them in round globes along with various bits and pieces. This one is my first, my Yorkie Christmas ornament.

There are purple, green and blue feathers behind her and the globe is sprinkled with purple glass shards along with a few flakes of "snow" at the bottom. The globe has two purple ball charms at top of the neck along with a blue bow and hangs from lavender satin cord. These little balls are so hard to photograph though because of the glare; they are much cuter in person!
